About Sunita

Hello! I’m Samra, the driving force behind Samra Henna, and my love for henna artistry ignited during my teenage years. It all began when my mother encouraged me to create my first bridal mehndi design as a teenager. Initially, I considered it a hobby, but as I started receiving more and more requests for henna designs, my passion grew.

Over the years, I juggled my henna passion with full-time jobs, until 2015 when I decided to fully embrace the demand for bridal mehndi and make it my career. It was a decision I’ve never regretted.

Since then, I’ve had the privilege of traveling to destination weddings to create stunning bridal mehndi designs. I’ve also expanded my knowledge and skills by attending events like the ‘Spring Fling Henna Conference’ in San Francisco and even had the honor of teaching at the world’s largest henna conference, ‘HennaCon,’ in Los Angeles. Additionally, I collaborate with a team of talented henna specialists, some of whom I’ve personally trained or worked with closely. This ensures that whether you meet me or one of my dedicated team members, you’ll always receive a premium henna experience with Samra Henna.

The Essence of the Mehndi Seasons

When you book your bridal mehndi, we discuss your wedding plans to schedule the best henna application time. Bridal henna can take 4 to 8+ hours, so morning sessions work best for optimal results.

We’ll talk about your design ideas, and I’ll create a personalized design either freehand or through a prior phone consultation. To achieve the darkest and longest-lasting stain, we recommend scheduling your session two to three days before your wedding, using fresh, high-quality henna.

During the application, you can relax and enjoy, and you won’t go hungry as your loved ones can feed you. Afterward, we’ll provide you with aftercare instructions to ensure your henna looks stunning on your big day.

Sitting down with a bride to create her bridal mehndi is truly special. I enjoy learning about your love story, your wedding theme, and even glimpsing at your bridal outfit to infuse these elements into your henna design for your big day. To me, henna may be temporary, but the memories it creates (and the photos it yields) last a lifetime.

Sometimes, it’s just the bride and me during the henna application. However, often, family members join in to share their stories, making the experience even more memorable. It’s heartwarming to see mothers moved to tears when they see their stories incorporated into the finished henna design.

Being part of the preparations for your special day is a true privilege, and I hope it’s a memory you cherish forever.

I adore sharing photos from our delighted brides! For current images, visit my Instagram page @samrahenna.

Over the years, I’ve crafted diverse bridal henna designs, inspired by wedding themes, cultures, favorite places, landscapes, animals, organic florals, portraits, deities, and more. I blend traditional intricacies with bold elements for a striking modern appeal.

Ultimately, it’s about skill and henna quality. I take pride in personally preparing all my henna paste and cones, ensuring top-notch results for your bridal mehndi.
